The Lacy Black Deafmetal® Coil Hat is a refined and highly functional accessory designed to securely cover and stabilise cochlear implant coils while introducing a subtle, decorative aesthetic. Created with everyday usability in mind, this Coil Hat offers a balanced combination of protective performance and elegant design, making it a versatile choice for a wide range of personal styles and daily routines.

Crafted from black laser‑cut leather, the Lacy Black Coil Hat features an intricate lace‑inspired pattern that enhances its visual appeal while keeping the structure lightweight and breathable. Inside the Coil Hat, integrated Velcro provides a secure and adaptable attachment method. Each product includes three Velcro counterparts, allowing compatibility with different cochlear implant coil surfaces and models. The rectangular Velcro pad (10 mm × 19 mm) is designed for devices such as Cochlear™ Nucleus® 5 and 6, while the round Velcro pad (19 mm diameter) is suitable for newer models such as Nucleus® 7 and 8. This flexible system ensures that the Coil Hat can be fitted securely according to the specific device in use.

The Lacy Black Coil Hat can be worn independently or combined with a safety chain, depending on personal preference and activity level. When worn alone, it provides discreet protection and helps maintain the position of the implant coil. When paired with a safety chain, the Coil Hat offers enhanced security by allowing attachment to ear cuff safety rings, earrings, hair accessories, or clothing, helping to prevent accidental loss during movement.
